The Full Story
I started Project EGG on July 8, 2016 — 5 days after my first book, CEO At 20: A Little Book For Big Dreams, was published.
Thinking I was being clever, I named it thus because the EGG stands for Entrepreneurs Gathering for Growth.
Originally it was a Facebook group (since archived) where I brought together entrepreneurs so I could listen to their problems and write books to solve them.
What I quickly realized was that I had no idea how to solve their problems, but they did know how to help each other.
So I started interviewing people within the group.
The podcast was born!
Then I started interviewing any amazing entrepreneurs I could find, sometimes live streaming up to 5 episodes a day.
I reached a peak of 30,000+ viewers/listeners/watchers across 18+ channels in over 50+ countries around the globe.
Late 2019 I was working on my startup, Life Mastery Foundation (which I took to about 120 people before unfortunately going out of business), so I decided to pause Project EGG.
This eventually led to me drifting away from the idea of ever continuing it, starting other businesses, ventures, podcasts, projects, etc.
So now, although I’m extremely grateful for everything Project EGG has ever been and will continue to be — I must accept the fact that I’m not going to reboot the show and I must close the loop.
I love each and every one of my guests, and I am grateful for you.
The seeds of my career were planted during this period, learning from all of you — it was the greatest education a young person could ever ask for.
Much love,
Ben
